2018 Reunion In the History Books!

Thanks to the very evident hard work that Doug and Pat Wilson did, the recent reunion in Columbus, Georgia (first time for AMM in many years) was memorable! Hospitality Room was well-stocked and there was no shortage of anything. Doug and Pat worked tirelessly throughout the weekend and we are grateful for their consideration and efforts.

The Business Meeting centered on a few things:

  • Review of the Bylaws to incorporate an alternating election process and expanding the terms of service to two years.
  • Identification and selection of the new Newsletter Editor. We’re very excited about this because we’ve struggled this past year or two keeping members suitably informed about events and changes.
  • Add a second person to AMM’s checking account and Paypal account. This ensures continuity and checks and balances.
  • Donating to the Bob Barr Community Band and repeating a scholarship fund for promising musicians in an identified secondary school.

There were about 50 attendees at the reunion and by all accounts, everyone had a great time!

Looking forward to Savannah, GA for 2019!

  1. It’s great to be back in the “fold” again. Really enjoyed the 2018 reunion in Columbus, GA. The Wilson’s put on a great hospitality room and everybody had a great time. Looking forward to 2019 in Savannah. Since I will be hosting the 35th annual reunion in Augusta, Ga in 2020, I am excited to tell you that so far two bands want to join us and have mini reunions. They are the 298th Band from Berlin and the Signal Corps Band from Ft Gordon. We might have some friends from Germany visit us also.
